About Us
Preserving Benton Hot Springs for Future Generations
Benton Hot Springs is owned by the Bramlette Family Trust. Trustee Bill Bramlette and his wife, Diane Henderson, are deeply committed to preserving and stewarding this remarkable property for future generations.
In 2008, the Bramlette Trust took a major step toward long-term protection of the property by partnering with the Eastern Sierra Land Trust to place a permanent conservation easement on approximately 900 acres. This easement protects the land from future subdivision and development, ensuring that its scenic, cultural, and natural values remain intact. The creation of Historic Benton Hot Springs represents the Trust's next step in securing the property's long-term care, preservation, and public benefit.
Historic Benton Hot Springs works collaboratively with the Bramlette Trust, Mono County, and the Eastern Sierra Land Trust to preserve, restore, and interpret the area's historic, cultural, and natural resources. Through these partnerships, the organization supports responsible economic development, encourages community and business partnerships, creates employment opportunities, and expands public access to education and appreciation of this unique 1,255-acre landscape in California's Eastern Sierra.
